微波燒結(jié)氧化鋁陶瓷的制造方法是多種多樣的，除了普通粉未常壓燒結(jié)法外，還有熱壓和熱等靜壓燒結(jié)法、Sol-Gel法以及CVD法等，在工業(yè)上，用得多的還是普通粉未常壓燒結(jié)法。
氧化鋁陶瓷的普通粉未常壓燒結(jié)法是在傳統(tǒng)陶瓷制備工藝上發(fā)展起來(lái)的，是在干氫或真空條件下進(jìn)行坯體燒結(jié)，這種方法簡(jiǎn)單易行，經(jīng)濟(jì)實(shí)用，但保溫時(shí)間長(zhǎng)燒結(jié)溫度高，且致密程度較低，因而，進(jìn)一步提高透光率受到了限制。
它不是靠外界熱源的幅射、傳導(dǎo)和對(duì)流來(lái)由外向里加熱坯體，它是利用坯體本身吸收微波能量，從里向外和整體、均勻加熱，因而，熱效率更高、反應(yīng)和燒結(jié)速率更快、燒結(jié)時(shí)間縮短和成本降低，并使產(chǎn)品達(dá)到均勻和完全致密化，從而使透過(guò)率有所提高。（圖/文m.zhmba.cn）
